Dear Industry Colleague:
I am pleased to invite you to exhibit at the 30th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Delaware Valley Vascular Society to be held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Union League of Philadelphia. Please note that the Society’s annual meeting dates have changed and this and future meetings will now be held in the spring.
Our Program Committee is developing a terrific educational program including practical information for the practicing surgeon as well as the latest and evolving clinical advances in our field. In addition, the Annual Meeting will continue to offer presentations by an expert Panel and the meeting will continue to feature the Residents
Competition.
Doctor David L. Gillespie, Professor of Surgery, Chief and Program Director of Vascular Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, USU will be our featured speaker. Doctor Gillespie will be presenting, “Treating Vascular Injuries in Modern Warfare – The Military Experience in Iraq”. Next year’s Panel will be on Vascular Trauma and the topics will include pelvic vessel injuries; aortic arch transections; iatrogenic injuries; and upper extremity vascular injuries.
More than most fields and more than anytime in our history, vascular surgery is seeing unprecedented changes. These changes are incredibly exciting and largely based on significant technological advances. As such, your participation in our event is more important that just financial support. It is key to educating physicians in our community. The Annual Meeting typically attracts 50-60 vascular surgeons and caregivers from the tri-state area. During the meeting, both the Luncheon and Cocktail Reception will be held in the exhibit area to increase interaction between you and our guests. Additionally, your representatives are invited to attend the dinner immediately following the meeting.
Exposure to your company’s products and ideas are increasingly important to us. I urge your company to become a partner with us in these important educational efforts and support the meeting with an educational exhibit in the amount of $2,500.00. Your support would go directly toward the Resident Research Awards and educational sessions. Beyond this support, the DVVS is offering two additional sponsorship opportunities to companies participating as dinner or speaker sponsors. The first is sole sponsorship of the Dinner held the evening of the Annual Meeting. Sponsorship of the Dinner requires an additional grant of $2,500. The second is sole sponsorship of the guest Speaker for a grant of $1,500.
Please find enclosed the Exhibit Form that must be completed, signed, and mailed with your payment. A W-9 form and Tax ID information may be obtain from our Administrative Offices. Please feel free to call Terri Comegys, Executive Director and Meeting Manager of the Delaware Valley Vascular Society at (978) 745-8331 or me directly at (610) 876-3377. We look forward to working with you in making this our most successful meeting ever.
Sincerely yours,
Robert J. DiGiovanni, MD
